Fruit press
I bought a small antique fruit press at an auction tonight,it is rusty and needs cleaned, does anyone know how to get it cleaned up and ready to use as in "seasoning it"?I plan on using it for wine making.Any help will be appreciated.

As far as the rust goes, I had success getting rust off of the inside of a stainles steel keg just using sandpaper then cleaning the thing out thoroughly with Barkeepers Friend cleaner. I am sure there are rust removal products that would make your life easier being that, for the most part, it does not need to be chemical -free.
For the operation of the press, I think you can lubricate it with food grade grease (probably an internet purchase) for ease of use.
