Mihgt be over carbonated?

I just bottled a pale ale tonight and,according to my calculations,I goofed on the amount of priming sugar .I over estimated my batch yeild by 0.36gal.and added 0.43oz too much corn sugar.I wouldn't worry too much except that I was already shooting high on the CO2Volumes.I wanted 3.1Vol. instead of the recomended max . of 2.7Vol.However,It was a fairly long secondary,4 weeks for a 1.055 OG, and probably pretty flat anyway.What do YOU think?

Sounds like it just could be a bit high. I'd say give it 2-3 weeks and try a bottle or two. If they're gushers you could always do a quick uncap/recap:

1.Chill all your beer in a cooler to ice cold temperature in order to keep as much CO2 in solution as you can.
2.Take one bottle at a time and uncap quickly then, even if it's foaming, spewing or whatever, slam a new cap on there as quickly as possible. Capping on foam is perfectly fine. This will allow some CO2 to escape but not enough to ruin you carbonation totally.

This works better with a buddy and definitely works better in a place like a garage where you don't mind getting beer all over.
