Signs of life...
While working in the yard this weekend I noticed a little something coming up out of the ground.

Fellers, just a word of caution. With this new "INTERNET" thing, that is just starting to catch on, I am afraid that the BIG BOYS at Budweiser, Miller, and Coors may be able to determine where you live. They may have designs on your precious plants. Be vigilant. The truth is out there.

Well considering that something dug up my best cascade yesterday, maybe I should be looking the the BMC brewers, and it was Someone not something.
I got the rhizome back in the ground and no real damage was done as far as I can tell. Wish it luck on a quick recovery.

Looks like I've got some catching up to do. I've still got to get the rest of the rhizomes from Jack, and my others are still dormant in the fridge. I'll just have to give them the o'l Conseco juice, to pump 'em up when I finally put them in their final resting place.
You gonna buy one, or be one?

I just got mine in the ground on Sunday. 2 Cascade, 2 Centennial, 2 Goldings, and 2 Horizon. I put in a new bed along the south wall of the garage and I'm going to screw in some eyes under the soffit to run up the twine. I put 4 bags of composted manure in then several inches of mulch on top. Did you guys mulch yours? How are you anchoring your twine to the ground?
