At the Heisler's Household, 2011's Founders KBS, released on March 15th.
Thanks to some very good friends how helped set this up (Jeff and Skip).
48 Bottles safely stacked away to enjoy over the next 12 months.

Founders KBS
Known lovingly as “KBS” this barrel aged imperial stout is loved by many. KBS is brewed with chocolate & coffee, then aged in kentucky bourbon barrels. This beer is considered to be one of the best in the world.

Founder’s says:
What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

Style: Imperial Stout

Taste Expectations: Chocolate, coffee, vanilla/oak/bourbon. Decadent & delicious.

Got to go my 1st bottle should be cold by now. :D

My first AG brown ale (Oak Butt ...John Palmer). Seems to have a slight iron oxide taste at the finish. What is it? I mashed at 151 degrees F for 80 mins., cooled to 65 degrees F, sprinkled Fermentis US-04 safale into the cooled wort and fermented at room temp ~ 69 degrees F. I will bring it to the meeting for constructive criticism.

Beer makes you feel the way you ought to feel without beer.

Bottled/Kegged: Brown Ale, English Barleywine, Oatmeal Stout, Kolsch, Marzen, English Porter, Marzen,
Fermenting : ,
Next up: Saison, Belgian Blonde

What do you use for your boil kettle?
Iron and aluminum can cause metallic flavors leaching into the wort during the boil. The small amount could be considered to be nutritional if it weren't for the bad taste. Nicks and cracks ceramic coated steel pots are a common cause as are high iron levels in well water.

I boil with a ceramic coated steel pot and I use Henderson municipal water.

A properly "seasoned" aluminum pot will add no metallic flavors to your beer. Just boil water before first use to build an oxide layer that you maintain by not scrubbing too aggressively when cleaning.
