Sitting at the Gerst Haus drinking a Great Divide Yeti which is a Belgian style stout. Sounds weird, but tastes great. I wish I had time (and the metabolism) for two.

Anaheim Chili IPA at the Ram Downtown Indy.
Outrageous pepper aroma and flavor with no heat at all.
Good Beer, very well balanced with a good hop bite.
It would have been nice to have some heat though.

At the Gerst Haus, Flat 12 Glazed Ham Porter. They are out of Indy, but I was unfamiliar with them.
Glazed Ham Porter
IBU: 34.1
ABV: 6.3%
Mmmmm, Glazed Ham. It conjures up memories doesn’t it, or perhaps strange food fetishes? No matter, from this day forward it should conjure up a taste memory of one helluva seasonal robust porter from Flat12. Our Glazed Ham Porter balances the spices of a favorite holiday platter and the deep roasted malt of the finest porter. Next Christmas, volunteer to bring the Glazed Ham…in a glass, everyone will thank you for their favorite gift of the season.

Turoni's 2nd double IPA, Moose Squared, is now on tap at the Main Street location. We are running it thru a corny keg containing about 5 pounds of Cascade hops on the way to the bar. It is not as sweet as the first batch of Moose Squared. 7.5-8.0 ABV & 125 IBU's on paper.

Re: What ya Drinkin'??
I'm in Seattle enjoying a Pliny the Elder. In about 45 minted I'll be enjoying a Pliny the Younger. The pub received less than a keg of Younger and have tickets to the first 70 people in line. I was lucky!
Postscript:
Wonderful beers, wonderful atmosphere! I'm not sure I like either Elder or Younger better than DFH 90 and 120, but both are premier examples of American craft beer. The best part though was spending quality time with Amy, my future daughter-in-law.

Re: What ya Drinkin'??
Did a little road trip yesterday and hit some brew pubs that are new to me, and some that aren't. Black Swan & Three Pints in Plainfield, Granite City & 3 Wise Men in Indy, Oaken Barrel in Greenwood, and both New Albanian locations. Highlights: Dark Mild for breakfast at Black Swan, Baltic Porter on cask from 3 Wise Men for lunch, gravity head was going on at NABC so I can't remember much (I started with Founders old ale), but the food is incredible at NABC's Bank Street location.

Re: What ya Drinkin'??
The reason I wasn't at the February meeting and won't be at the March or April meetings is: I was hired as a full-time software consultant by Ciber Inc. My first assignment began February 29 in Portland Oregon.
I've only had the time to find one of the many brew-pubs in the area, but its a dandy!
Hopworks Urban Brewery (http://hopworksbeer.com/) is on US26 (Powell Blvd) between Ross Island and I-205. Its located in an old tractor dealership. They keep 10 of their beers on tap (6 regulars and 4 rotating/seasonal) and also have 2 cask conditioned varieties available. Their sampler tray is amazing; when I tried it, it even had an 11% barleywine on it.
Good food, too!
Hope to be home for the May meeting.
