Zoo Brew: Sat., June 11

Post by jesskauffman » Wed Apr 27, 2011 12:03 pm

I won't be able to make it to the meeting tonight, but was wondering when sign-up sheets for help with the Zoo Brew event in June would be going around. I'd like to help with at least set-up or something, since I don't have a serving permit.

There will be sign ups for Zoo Brew at the May meeting. There is a lot of volunteers needed not only to pour (servers permit required), and set up, but also to help with loading up equipment to start (strong backs), transporting the equipment (truck or trailer), tear down, and unloading when finished for the night.

We're fortunate enough Jack has taken care of all the cleaning, sanitizing, and storing of all the draft equipment. :beer2 Now that's the job without the glory!

Zoo Brew is June 11. The event starts at 6pm, ends 10pm. Exact schedule for loading up, set up, etc has yet to be determined. I know the zoo was wanting to stage set up of vendors to help ease the burden of the last second rush to set up, so check back.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I'm all for helping unload and set stuff up (I'm still young enough to have a strong back).

I will probably be at the May meeting but sign me & Kim up for anything & everything. I have a servers permit. I have that 10ft tilt trailer if we need it but I may need help towing it. (1- 7/8" ball).
If your beer doesn't come out exactly right, call a brew-over!

Brew cart drain is fixed. Dutch had the drain welded. I have everything back together. It is ready for the zoo.

I will PM individually all those who have offered to help - any thanks!
We could still use more beer - we are up to 16 cornies.
We have a lot of new signage which should brighten things up considerably.
Members who are helping DO NOT need tickets [even if NOT serving].
Don't forget to wear your shirts if you have them.
I'll be bringing the box of new shirts which we have left.
Event is 7-10PM this Saturday.
Any other questions just fire away!

I'll bring a 7% Wit and a Simcoe, Citra dry hopped American Wheat.
Is anyone bringing root beer?
I've got a non alcoholic "Monster/Red Bull" energy drink that I could bring if deemed wanted.

I've got a decent Belgian Pale Ale if needed, in addition to the club porter, which is out of this world crazy good.

I thought about making root beer, but I was totally out of fridge space.
