Tech Topic for February Meeting WATER

If anyone has a specific question [related to water] which they would like addressed [during our upcoming Tech Topic for Feb 23rd] please post it here so that Peter can include a response in his discussion.
Please refrain from posting responses to water questions!

And now for something completely different..

Tom had a good question he posted on another page

Is it imperative to rid the tap water of chlorine? I am going to try my first all grain batch this weekend using Henderson water.

Well, before, I was just using 5.002a release 456, so I would assume 5.2 is better, unless it's a microsoft product. Then, I would just expect it cost more and need more resources than I currently have.

As in depth as I think people will understand -- I suppose it depends on how much chemistry you have already.

Certainly I intend to answer most basic brewing questions, like pH and what it does.

Basic,in line or end of line 'drinking water' filters.There are different types of these.
Which ones work best?How to choose.Got to be better than just plain tap water(or not? ).
