Don't have an invoice yet, but i have been notified grain prices have increased 10-20%. I expect it to be $35-$40 per bag for the domestic. Maris Otter will probably be over $50.00.

Suppliers seem to think the recession is over. We're getting one price increase after another right now.

Grain is here. Prices seem to be the same as last time. Wheat, Pale, Pilsner & Munich are all $32.00 for a 50# bag. Vienna is $38.00 for 55#. Maris Otter is $46.00 for 55#.

Flatulence from beer is caused by the presence of complex sugars. While simple sugars are easily broken down and metabolized by either the yeast our yourself, the complex sugars persist until your lower intestine. There, they are fermented and consumed by bacteria and other gut flora, producing gas as a side effect.
Brewer's Yeast is a good source of Chromium and has been studied extensively for its medicinal properties. Chromium works to lower insulin levels and in fighting diabetes. It also has several other minerals including selenium, zinc, phosphorus, and magnesium. It is often used for loss of appetite. Supplement for chronic acne and furunculosis. Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea and prophylactic treatment of diarrhea during travel.
And lets not go into adding Beano to the beer because it has been done. Loss of flavor it usually the results.

Right, the complex sugars are the a mean culprit in beer farts, but, just on a spontaneous spike of interest,I did some googling. Not to be adversarial or disputant. Here's something interesting and informative.Flatulence from beer is caused by the presence of complex sugars. While simple sugars are easily broken down and metabolized by either the yeast our yourself, the complex sugars persist until your lower intestine.

Anyway,there were some things I didn't know.
I liked the suggestion about making bigger beers.
