Hey All,
I would like to do AG brewing. I am doing Extract right now. I understand the process, what I need is for someone to show me the ropes. Do's and Dont's. I'd like to stay in the 5Gal. brew range.
Any thoughts?

Re: All Grain Brewing
Welcome Art!
There are many all grain brewers that troll this board, and live locally. Monitor brew day open invitations http://www.ovha.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=589 if you haven't hooked up with anyone shortly, our club Big Brew Day is the first Saturday in May, now May 7 this year. Many members get together and brew. Extract, and all grain. I think there was like 13 brewers at last year's event.

You gonna buy one, or be one?

Ditto what John says, watching someone else do it was the key to the whole thing for me and for others.
Also, look on youtube, there's some great videos out there that give you those visuals and can pretty much show you the way.

I wrote up a fairly detailed description of my first all-grain brew day. It's here:

Some people say the glass is half empty.
Some say it's half full.
I just want to know who's drinking my damn beer!

Re: All Grain Brewing
Mike,
I read your Blog. I am really anal about measurements. Maybe too anal, if it calls for 2.5gal that's what I use not 2.4 or 2.6. Also the water here in Madisonville sucks, so I buy bottled spring water. Makes for better measurements.
