It would be good fo a beer fountain, but not for hot liquor. It's too big at 1/2 hp, it's not magnetic drive (mag drive prevents oil contamination in event of seal failure, and Can be choked down on flow control to a trickle without harming pump motor), it's not rated for boiling wort temps.
March pumps with polysulphone (sp?), or kynar heads while more expensive are the industry standard. Check eBay. There are sellers that sell below homebrewing shop prices.
