my first all grain ??

my first all grain, My false bottom did not work correctly the 1/16" dia. holes i drilled in the bottom side closed-up. do i need drill more holes or make the holes bigger.
the spurge arm works ok.

I didn't see a false bottom in your pics. Do you have the holes drilled in your manifold? Manifolds are usually constructed with slots cut into them about every 1/4-3/8" resembling a loaf of bread sliced 1/3 of the way, but on the bottom.

I don't use a rigid manifold. So I'm no means an expert on these things. I use the braiding from a stainless steel hose. Works for me.

OK not a false bottom but a manifold. thanks for correcting me.
I will make slots in my "MANIFOLD" before i try to cook my next batch of all grain.

Braided hose, I'm with John. I did a Hefeweizen Monday, 50-50 wheat/barley mix, crushed at 0.025", no rice hulls, and no stuck sparge. Plus, they're lots easier to make and to replace.
