I have a burner but havn't fired it up in a while, and an extra tank, so you should be ok.

Cool, Dutch needs to get a hold of it so he can measure it up for the stand. Did you drain it on the way home?

Hard to say. We ended up cramming it in the back of a Jeep Cherokee of some young Turonis employees for the trip home so there is no telling what happened to the contents
We got a bit screwed because we were late for the 1 p.m. "Barrel Meeting"...they gave away our nice surprise bottle of Woodford Reserve
I can also bring an extra burner to help make the sugar...

I have the barrel at Turoni's. I haven't checked on contents. We had about 8 ounces of whiskey in our Old Charter barrel. I told Bob we wanted the heaviest one.

I can bring burner, gas and a big pot of Pasta Fagioli to keep warm with [maybe some garlic breadsticks too?].
I also picked up the barrel from Jack. I will get with Ken Lcas to pick up raw oak lumber for fabrication of new base. I have steel roller base frame from Jack and know how high the overall barrel cradle must be [to allow for siphon to top of a Corny].
Maybe the board [at next board meeting] can set a target date for this work so I can be properly motivated.

If need be, I have nearly a pound of Perle leaf hops that could sub for Challanger. Also, I might be able to do a second 5 gallon batch if need be.

A big thanks to all that came out in the bitter cold Saturday. We ended up with 65+ gallons of brew! Everything went much smoother than I really expected. Thanks to Dutch who kept us fed well throughout the day, and I think we have a new traditional breakfast item (aka the Woodford Twinkie).
I was too busy to officially count, but I think there were at least 9 simultaneous all grain setups going at once in a 40x32 area, that's a lot of propane and potentially a lot of carbon monoxide which we kept under 15ppm.
The brew is finally starting to bubble a little as it sits in my basement bathroom after I kicked up the heat a little in the room. It was a little low as we started (61F)in there, so I bumped it up to 72 for a while. I can lower it a little after it gets going, probably will try to hold it around 65 unless others have a better idea.
Dutch now has the "finishing" oak for the barrel stand. (just remember the stand needs to fit through the door!)
I will keep you updated on the progress as needed.

Thanks to Kenny for being a gracious host, Don for keeping us all straight on the recipie, Dutch for the grub, and everyone else that brought some fine beverages for sampling. I had a great time. If this beer turns out half as good as the time I had, it'll be an easy sipper.
