Message Board Upgrade!!!

Well, I've been putting off upgrading our message board software for about 6 months now. Several recent spambot attacks have finally forced me to announce we will be upgrading soon. Probably early this week. The new version has several security enhancements that we need to combat the bots. It also has direct attachment uploading, i.e. attach pictures to posts, built right in. No more of this crazy Album stuff.

The new version does have an upgrade function but it is possible not everything will make the transition. I'm most concerned about our current photo database that uses a cobbled together mess of mods to make it work. I think there is a good chance it will not make it over. If you have the time, look over your Album and identify those pics that you would really like to see kept with their messages. These will probably need to be re-uploaded to the new system manually. I apologize in advance.

The good news is I can leave the old system running for as long as is needed to make the transition. Both message boards will be active simultaneously. I will put a link here to announce to stop using this board except to retrieve pictures, etc when I get the new system running.

The old board is now disabled. I'll keep the files for awhile longer if there is anything there that you forgot to move over. After a few more weeks I'll put a redirect in and delete the database.

Question. If you go to http://www.ovha.net or http://ovha.net and click on Message Board, does anyone get sent to the old site (http://www.ovha.net/phpBB2/ ??? This shouldn't be happening but I've got one report of this.
