AHA Big Brew Day: Project Fermenter Fill

When you have a 75 gallon club fermenter what should you do with it… keep it full of course.

The wee heavy we will be brewing this weekend will be vacated from the fermenter by big brew day (May 5th) so the plan is to brew a beer to fill it back up, but we need help.

Since we don’t have a whole lot of temperature control on the fermenter, we decided to brew a saison with a yeast that likes warmer temps.

Altogether we are looking for 11 brewers to brew a 6 gallon batch. This will require a buy in for the brew, which will be $15-$20, which will cover all ingredients. All you’ll have to do is show up with your equipment.

Before purchasing the ingredients we wanted gauge interest in making this happen. If you’d like to contribute, please respond to this thread.

We had some issues with logistics and will have to postpone this project. Everyone will need to bring their own recipes to big brew day.

Please confirm by replying that you've seen this post. I'll reach out individually by tomorrow if I haven't seen a response

If anyone who signed up would like to brew either of the official AHA recipes that day, please let me know. The club will be purchasing one of each recipe, since the Saison project was postponed.

If you're interested in a Honey Lager or Irish Stout, please reply here to reserve, and also specify all grain or extract. The condition to accepting one of these recipes is that half will need to be donated to one of our events this year.
