are anybody else's bottle ID labels wrong? Mine say "21D Belgian Golden Strong" "25C rauchbier" and so forth when it should be "25C BGS" and "6B Rauchbier" ALL OF MY BOTTLE ENTRIES ARE LIKE THIS

Re: 2016 Indiana Brewer's Cup
When I was typing my entry info out, I noticed that the categories didn't line up with the new 2015 guidelines (I assumed they were still categorized with the old BJCP category numbers). I hadn't printed mine out yet though, but will later today and see what it looks like. I'd imagine that they are incorrect as well.SkyBrew wrote:are anybody else's bottle ID labels wrong? Re: 2016 Indiana Brewer's Cup
Brewer's Cup is right around the corner. The last day for entries to be dropped off at Carson's Brewery is June 17th. Unless anyone else is willing to go to Indianapolis, Kenny Purcell will be driving the entries up to Sun King June 21st. If you are interested in making the journey in Kenny's place, please let him know.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL ENTRIES!!

I emailed them and they pointed me back to their 2016 competition rules; http://cdn.indianastatefair.com/wp-cont ... rs-Cup.pdfSkyBrew wrote:Mine were incorrect so

The bottle labels printed the competition class #s which are not the same as the 2015 BJCP #s. See the chart on the PDF for reference.

Re: 2016 Indiana Brewer's Cup
Yeah, not only is it confusing due to 2015 guidelines, but they created their own unique numbering system with these "classes". Thanks for the link. Makes sense now. It's the 2016 Brewers Cup CLASS number that's supposed to be on the bottle, not the 2015 class or the 2015 BJCP category number. Geez!

Re: 2016 Indiana Brewer's Cup
I was going to enter a couple of beers but when I tried to enter online the style guidelines were different than what I thought were the 2015 guidelines. For example 21A is a Belgian Blond nor an American IPA.
Am I doing something wrong or should I just enter based on what is on the entry page?

That was my reaction too! Where's the smiley that hits their face on a desk and then downs a beer?ThreeBeers wrote:Yeah, not only is it confusing due to 2015 guidelines, but they created their own unique numbering system with these "classes". What the hell did they do to the entry system? This is beyond messed up. They are not using the standard competition software.

Re: 2016 Indiana Brewer's Cup
Sky, you probably want to contact them at entry@indianastatefair.com to fix this. Since it is all electronic, scratching out the numbers probably won't work.

Re: 2016 Indiana Brewer's Cup
I thought it was pretty slick. I noticed the category numbers did not match the 2008 or 2015 styles so that threw me for a loop, but John's post helped explain. They created "classes" or essentially their own groupings. Initially they had the class numbers from last year but they fixed that. So yeah, I had to go to my PRINT page for labels again to get the correct numbers. It's all good. Or maybe it'll be so messed up that my beers will win by default since they will be the only ones remotely resembling the style!Chris Norrick wrote:What the hell did they do to the entry system?
