Has anyone tried the FastFerment conical yet? It sounds like an awesome product for a good price.

I have one and have used it for a couple batches. I love it. You can either buy a stand or wall mount it.

Finally broke down and bought a Big Mouth 6.5 gal. Got another free, with this weeks special from Northern.
Heard good things about them.

Have you had a chance to use them yet?
What is your impression? I am thinking about buying a couple.

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
Yes they both have beer in them (I actually have 3 beers going right now)
I have hop bags hanging in both of them and thats the main reason for getting them, I liked the big mouth lid that let me add and remove hops / oak easy.
I plan on transferring the IPA on Monday or Tuesday, from one of the big mouths.
It was always a PITA to remove a 3 oz hop bag, that also had 10 marbles for weight, and get it out of the way when you transfer or for clean.
Using the carboy hauler makes it easier for me to lift in and out of the fermenter.
Money well spent.

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
The wife purchased the pickup elbow for my birthday that I have been wanting.
Of coarse i can never use anything just as it comes out of the box. I had to mill it so it sits just right in the kettle.
Once I got going I thought why not build a trub damn...
Finally I cut down the extra long thermowell...

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
got my new Igloo 7.1 chest freezer this weekend and hooked up the inkbird itc-308 temperature controller. I'm using a light bulb paint bucket heater for the hot side and dialing it in for a few days before I start using it to control fermentation temperatures

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
Thanks for the advice Don. I got a deal on a couple so I pulled the trigger. I have a wine in one and a beer in the other. They definitely make brew day easier.

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
Need a little help here. Where in Evansville can you find a 6mm machine key, +- 35mm in length? The motor for my mill came with a 7mm, but the coupler takes 6mm. I tried filing the 7mm key down with less than satisfying results. Anyway, Grainger only sells them in lots of 25.
Thanks!
Thanks!
