Filtering a German Pilsner... Whole house filter with a 1 micron pleated filter looks like the trick.

Building my new mash tun (Megapot 1.2, 15 gal) I experimented on the best size and shape of pickup tube.
Using a pump:
a 3/8" pickup tube with diagonal cut parallel with the bottom, 1/8" I got the most from the pot, all but 8 oz.
a 1/2" pickup tube with diagonal cut parallel with the bottom, 1/8" I got all but 18 oz. This bigger tube allowed air to be sucked in it up quicker.
When I just let the gravity water drain out into a bucket they both were almost the same @3/4 gal. left
