I can send a keg of Scottish and possibly a keg of golden strong if it's improved since I last tasted it a couple months ago.

Jeremy, congratulations for your 1st place showing! I'm not at all surprised. Every beer I've had of yours has been top notch. Was it a Belgian style?
Also, congrats to John Mills and Carson Brewery for bringing home four medals!

Ironically (or coincidentally?), I just dumped 10 gallons of golden strong over the weekend. Clearly I could benefit from some of your tutelage.Jeremy Dunn wrote:Thanks! Yeah, it was a golden strong.

Re: Brewer's Cup Call for Stewards
Yikes! what happened?
It's funny because I never intended to brew a golden strong. It started as a saison. I did a split batch and fermented one half with saison yeast and the other half with a trappist yeast. The 'golden strong' half I fed sugar after primary fermentation to raise the abv. I also fined it with gelatin which helped the appearance score quite a bit. I almost entered it as a Triple. I figured I'd loose points for being out of style since it's not a Duvel clone.
Anyway, lesson learned is: If you have a decent beer, submit it. You may just get lucky...

You've always brewed good beer brotha, don't be surprised. Better save me a bottle though so I can "judge" for myself.
What would Jesus Brew?
