Brew Kettle Stolen

Post by SkyBrew » Wed Mar 12, 2014 9:32 am

My converted Sanke Keg brew kettle was stolen off my porch last night. Does anyone have a spare Sanke keg they would like to sell?

Your shiny kettle was stolen? Cork Soakers!
I think I've got an extra old sanke around. I'll have to check. At the very least, I've got one you can borrow for Saturday.
You gonna buy one, or be one?
.....I'm gonna be one!

I hope you notified the police. It will probably end up on e-bay or craigslist.

My dad had his boat ripped off and the cops were worthless, even after he provided them with the ebay numbers where his hand painted lures were being sold. They tracked it back to a guy in Ohio who sold them to a pawn shop, who sold them to the guy selling them on ebay. I don't know if it had anything to do with the fact that he was the son of the local 5-0 but good luck, they did not press charges.

He ended up having to buy his lures back and never recovered the larger equipment...

Yea it was the shiny one :( I didn't bother calling the police, they wouldnt understand what it was anyway. My guess is a junker stole it but I've been watching craigslist. I ordered another keg conversion kit and quick connect fitting from bargainfitting.com If it gets here by tommorrow I could make another one by Saturday if I can find a keg. I could probably make due with just 2 pots saturday since the water is going to be pre-heated maybe? John if you can check and see if you have a sanke I'd gladly trade you some cash for it

Jack has an extra that I cut the top out of for him. He talked like he was going to offer it up to the club...

Just talked to Jack and he said he will bring it to the brew day tomorrow. It won't be ready to brew with but at least you have a replacement.

Thanks man, I think I got one lined up. Im gonna try and get it after work. USPS tracking info says the converter kit was delivered so if everything goes right when I get home I can cut it and drill it and have it ready for tommorrow!

Just want to thank everyone for all the help and suggestions and searching. We have an awesome club!
