Re: Winterfest 2014
I got my tickets, thanks Don! I remember last year tickets sold out quick and then they were going for 2-3x's as much on Craigslist.

Re: Winterfest 2014
The OVHA has been confirmed to serve for two hours during Winterfest 2014 on Saturday, February 1.. We will receive two tickets and be provided with a 4 tap jockey box. If you would like to serve (and have a current servers license) and have a keg or two to donate, please let me know. There is one ticket available. Additional details should be forthcoming. Also, there are still tickets available on-line.

Re: Winterfest 2014
Abby and I are going as guests.
If the club needs anything brought up I should have trunk room.
Is anybody else going to this?

Re: Winterfest 2014
The following is an e-mail I received yesterday providing more details.
Good evening everyone,
My apologies for not getting this out sooner. We've had some changes for the better, and we've also had two homebrew clubs drop from the event unfortunately. We are going to run just two shifts for two hours a piece with four homebrew clubs. I made the pour schedule simply based on who signed up first.
Pour orders will be:
3PM-4:50PM
MONK
Beer is My Passion
5:10PM-7PM
Ohio Valley Homebrewers Association
Bloomington Hop Jockeys
To cover a few items:
VIP starts at 2PM. If you feel like being set up for VIP and pouring feel free to do that, but you will also have the time to mingle and enjoy the fest before the large crowds come in. You can setup anytime before 1:30 with your vehicles. After 1:30 you won't be able to pull a car into the building anymore and you will need to hand carry things in at that point. The venue location should be a massive relief for the entire fest. We are using the entire building in the Champions Pavilion. For the 5-7 pourers feel free bring your beer in and you can store it behind the setup area. You can bring a tarp if you want to cover it up, but the only people allowed behind those tables will be brewers, pourers, and volunteers.
Your names will be on the brewers registration when you check in. You will get your wristbands and sample glasses as that point.
I've got it cleared that you may bring promotion items, banners, any giveaways, or as many different beers as you want. The guild has two 4 tap jockey boxes for homebrewers to pour from as well. If you want to pour more than that feel free to do so. I was promised that we would have access to all three different keg connectors. I would still plan on bringing the needed equipment to pour though just as a backup. I don't have access to the storage facility so I have to rely on what I'm being told.
Overall though I hope everyone has a good time. I've been doing this from the very first Winterfest and I'm probably more excited about this one than any in the past.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Regards,
Matt Robinson
