Where do you like to buy brewmaking supplies?
Allright, I've decided that it would be better to pose this question for all of you, rather than find out from trial and error, the best places to buy stuff.
I've used Windriver alot for kits, but recently switched to Northern Brewer for my kits. I also like buying from Al at the Co-Op. Please share your suggestions, for where and what with everyone, so that we can spend more time brewing and less time shopping.
Thanks, Jim.

www.morebeer.com is where I buy a lot of supplies. DME comes from Jack. Turoni's can get it in a 50# bag for about 1/2 the cost of 1 or 2#quantities. Get one and split it w/ somebody if necessary.

This has been discussed before, I'll see if I can find the thread.
For me, typically:
Bulk grain from Jack
Speciality grains, hops, equipment from Midwest Supplies http://www.midwestsupplies.com
Emergency speciality grain and liquid yeast from the Warrick Co-Op
I've also ordered from MoreBeer (slow shipping) and Northern Brewer as they have a few things my normal places don't. (Like pale chocolate malt)
Although my last two orders were from Williams Brewing for hops as they seem to be the only ones with them at good prices.

I found the string you were referring to, it was helpful.
One thing I like about Northern Brewer is I can buy on Monday or Tuesday night and recieve it by Friday. From what John said, it looks like it is time for me to buy in bulk. Do you store your extra DME in a Tupperware container?

Another place that I occasionally use is Quality Wine and Ale Supply in Elkhart, IN. When you call and place your order, if he knows you're from Indiana, he will try to get the order out ASAP. I have gotten yeast in one day from them before. http://www.homebrewit.com/

I had a friend suggest FOXX Equipment Company for 'dispensing supplies'.
www.foxxequipment.com
They sent a nice catalog. Lots of kegging supplies.

Anita at Great Fermentations in Indianapolis will ship. This is her site address, www.greatfermentations.com.
I will be ordering grain after the first of the year. Probably in early January. I have been having problems with deliveries from Brewers' Supply, but I like their grain selection. I am thinking of ordering from Cargil. I haven't ordered from Cargil since Bill Ladish retired.

Handle stress like a dog. If you can't hump it or eat it, just pee on it and walk away.

I used Listerman's last week. Free delivery for orders over $55.
I got my stuff in one day. Everything was packaged well, and the reusable tubs are the easiest thing I have found to actually use all the liquid malt. Thanks, Dutch!
