Will Fermcap be enough?

Post by KennyPurcell » Fri Feb 22, 2013 12:04 pm

Tonight I am brewing a DIPA (nothing too crazy OG 1075-1080). I realize with the dextrose addition and my new O2 system that this thing should take off like a rocket. Do I need to rig up a blow off tube or will Fermcap save me? This is a 6 gallon batch (to make up for loss with dry hopping) in a 6.5 gallon bucket.

Thanks,
Kenny

Fermcap does do a good job but better safe with a blowoff than cleaning up a huge mess off of the floor, ceiling, walls, pets, children, etc.
