nice and portable, sweet! I just went around and tightened all the bolts that were hand tightened with a wrench last night now that the frame is built, I ordered a banjo burner bg14 yesterday $43.31 free shipping from:

next I will cut the lengths for the kettles to sit on and bolt those on. The bolts that I have are too large for the pump, I read some people use a bit and widen the holes on the mounting bracket, I was thinking I'll probably just stop by the hardware store and get some smaller bolts for the pump today. and then get that guy on. And then after next payday Ill do the propane lines

I suggest some rubber bushings to go between the pump brackets and the frame to cut down on noise/vibration to frame. Works for Harley's. AND locktite those nut/bolt connections. Just to keep everything like new, years down the road.

+1 on the rubber bushings, thats a great suggestion. Im going to skip on the locktite tho, I dont want to go back and redo all the bolts, you have to use the locktite before assembly right?

edit* I just googled it and loctite recommends wicking grade locktite green 290 for post assembly bolts. So thanks for the suggestions!

one more question, I was gonna mount the pump with the inlet facing upwards toward the kettles but this article says the inlet should be facing down and the outlet should be facing up to avoid airpockets, sound right?

Some of us mount it down and some up.
All seem to work.
I orginally had mine up and had problems purging then changed to down.
Works fine for me.
There are others that have it set up the other way.
And the are happy.

Big decision coming up, should i gravity feed the plate chiller or spring for extra disconnects and run it through the pump?

No big deal at all. Drill a small pilot hole first then with the size you need. Medium speed with a cordless drill and use a little oil.

Any particular type of bit? Would household oil work? Thanks.

Any good sharp bit will work and household oil will be fine for just a couple holes

Got the burners on the stand tonight! I canabalized the burner and windscreen from my turkey fryer for the HLT and the banjo Burner came in the mail today so I roughed in the mounting brackets, tommorrow I will redo the mounting brackets with washers and tighten them all the way

Michael have you done your gas line yet? Im trying to find some needle valves, I really like the valves with the knurled knob in that picture you posted.
