March 809 Wort Transfer Pump for $115.
It's been used on 3 or 4 batches.
I ordered the larger pump to try and handle my high gravity beers quicker, pumping 15' into the kitchen, uphill.

Re: March Pump for Sale
My last ale was around 1.085 and took a good half hour. But I also think I had some hops blocking the flow. I usually have to turn the valve down when, now that I figured out the outlet up deal. I just want as big of a pump as I can have for what I do if that makes sense.

Re: March Pump for Sale
Like I said, I normally had to valve it down to pump through the chiller at that slow of a speed. But on the last batch, I had a blockage and high gravity on top of it. When I use it as a recycle flow for the wort, I have to valve it way down as well and have never had a problem with it there. I honestly don't think my problem this time had anything to do with the pump, I just want to add horsepower any time I can. I hunt with a 7 mm ultra mag if that tells you anything.

Jimmy, I have a conflict with the December meeting, but please hold the pump for me. Thanks.

Re: March Pump for Sale
One of the things to think about on the March 809 is switching to the 815 impeller.
Word on the street is that it increases flow by aprox 30% (but spec says 7GPM where the 809 is 5GPM) and makes it easier to prime which is the real reason I am buying. In tests it still seems to have issues with cavitation on boiling wort.
Ordered mine today from Tesco Pumps for $33.00 shipped. It also comes with a new silicon o-ring and teflon washer.
P.S. You have to have the 809-HS for the bigger impeller to make a difference.
