My automatic carboy & cornie washer.
(I have most of the bugs worked out of it)
5 min to clean a carboy
10 min per cornie
@ 1 TBS of PBW & 2 qts water

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
In my new house I have a wet bar with a quartz countertop and a compartment for a refrigerator. My intention is to mount my kegerator tower on the countertop. I found a contractor to drill a standard hole which I believe is 1 3/8 inch diameter. The problem seems to be drilling holes for the mounting bolts. Apparently they use core/hole bits to make holes in this type of material and they wouldn't be able to make them small enough.
So, my question for all you McGyver types in OVHA land (you know who you are), is there a way to mount the tower without the mounting bolts? Would there be a way to utilize PVC? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My day off tinkering around in the garage. I put 2 taps on the Door for the Kegerator, Built my Fermentation Chamber and using a Freezer for Grain Storage. Productive Day

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
Trying to figure out how to build a 2 burner, 2 keggle, RIMs system. I have most of the materials/parts to do it. Doing a full volume mash, then heating/recirculating that for the 60min. I want to build it low enough so that Elizabeth can brew on it but not to low that the burners scorch the floor of the garage or the cart.
Any thoughts on how far I should keep my burners off the floor?

Use electric heat. A couple of 220v elements will do the job.

Build her a platform to stand on.

Very clever, Michael!
Alas, I have none of Michael's talent for tinkering. My latest brewery gadget, a keg and carboy washer, arrived this past Friday, as they all do, in a box with some, but minimal, assembly required.

Re: How about an Equipment Thread?!
Carboy washer:
1 5 gallon bucket
1 cheap sump pump (harbor freight on sale)
Some PVC pipe
Drill holes in pipe and pipe end cap
Place in bucket of hot PBW
Invoert carboy over pipe and let 'er rip
To also make it a Keg cleaner, which I find much more useful:
Add tee and barb fitting
Attach hose
Attacher another barbed tee
Attach two more hoses
Attach keg In and Out QD's (restrict In hose with something to make up for the long Out and short In stainless pipes in keg)
Attach QD's to Keg, invert over pipe and let 'er rip
It continuously recirc's into the bucket. Very effecting with the cleaning solution blasting the inside and going through the In and Out pipes.
