Zoo Brew 2012: June 9 @ 7 pm

Post by john mills » Sun May 13, 2012 2:21 pm

Mesker Park Zoo & Botanical Gardens is having their 3rd annual fundraiser, Zoo Brew, Saturday June 9, 2012 7pm-10pm. OVHA supports this event by serving samples of our homemade craft beers to the public.
If you want to help in this event we need volunteers that have beer they want to be used for the sampling, volunteers for serving (need volunteer servers permit or full bartenders license), volunteers to set up, tear down, support workers during event for ice running, talking/educating public on homebrewing.
If your interested please post beer and/or what you can help with.
Set up will begin at the Zoo at 5pm. Loading equipment will be at Turoni's by 4:30.
If anyone has a truck, or trailer to help move the carts will be appreciated.
You gonna buy one, or be one?
.....I'm gonna be one!

I'll be there
I have the English Brown from Big Brew, some IPA and the Honey Hef.
If we get hard up for beers I still have the Bad Red!

I'll be there, coming back from Indy that day, so I don't think I'll make the load-up at Turoni's. I'll have an Irish Red (what's left of it) and an IPA that I brewed last weekend, if it's any good!

I can't make it this year, we have a wedding to attend. I have the American Brown that I brewed at the big brew though. I just need a keg to put it in. Can you help me out, John? Maybe we could keg it up this weekend and you could get it carbed and ready by Zoo Brew day.

Let me know.

I can help you out with that Don. I haven't had the time to do my normal brewing, and have lots if empty, clean, sanitized kegs ready to go. At my current rate of consumption vs rate of beer production, I'll soon have space in one of my kegerators.

John, do any of those have a Norrick tag on them? I think it was left from Tap & Cork.

I don't have any one else's kegs. If I remember right, left over kegs went to Turoni's.

I plan on attending with my wife but won't be participating. However I am brewing an IPA tonight that I will donate to the cause...that is if you guys still can handle the lone pin lock in a sea of ball locks.
