Post by msjulian » Sun Mar 04, 2012 9:30 am

Looking to give the new brew store in town a helping hand on what yeast to stock for Wyeast. If you don't mind please list your most used yeast stains.

1056 American Ale
1084 Irish Ale
2124 Bohemian Lager

I gave him this the other day, but to keep it all in one place...

1728 Scottish
2565 Kolsch (2575PC whenever they offer it!)

As I mentioned to Patrick, I harvest my yeast, I think my third and fourth batches are the strongest in terms of yeast, and after that I start over. So, I probably would purchase each of these like 2-3 times per year.

I always like to keep Safale US-04 and US-05 on hand, but I also use Wyeast 1084 Irish Ale yeast. I want to try White Labs WLP 830 German lager yeast.
If your beer doesn't come out exactly right, call a brew-over!
