This group has been around a couple of years. While it's geared toward day hikes, there is a growing subgroup of backpackers too. There is a trip this weekend to Land Between the Lakes for a 12 mile hike and overnight on the North South Trail. I know it's short notice but there are still spots open. Leaving Saturday morning.
The group communication is through Meetup and you have to join the group to see the events as it is not displayed to the public.
