We should finish unloading around 3:00. Then will do some QC. How late do you need me to stay?

Following are the base malts coming in:

Schreier 2-Row, variety Robust, color 1.5 - 2.1; Cargill 2-Row, variety Kendall/Metcalfe blend, color 1.5 - 2.5; Special Pale, variety Metcalfe, color 3 -4; Cargill Idapils, variety Harrington, color 1.5 - 2.0. These are all $30.00 for 50 pounds.

Cargill German Pilsen, variety Barke, color 1.4 - 1.7 is $38.50 for 55 pounds.

Warminster Maris Otter, color 2.5 - 3.5 is $46.50 for 55 pounds.

I have not used the Schrier 2-Row or the Cargill 2-Row.

I can be there by 4 but if you don't want to stay, could you just leave them behind the bar for the extra half hour or so and I'll just give them the check to give to you?

I've used the Schreier back when I was first brewing in the mid-late 90's. It was the base malt used by Chicago Brewing Company (I don't believe they're in business any more). It was the cheapest malt I could find. It is really a plain base malt. No body, or flavor, which made it good for the use of specialty grain, or adjuncts.

Grain order did not come today. It is in Evansville, but it was the first thing loaded. It was going to be the last thing delivered. The estimated delivery time was sometime after 5:00pm. The kitchen helps unload, but by 5:00 they need to be making pizzas.

The trucking company has promised it will be there by 2:00pm tomorrow. Sorry about any inconvenience.

It's all good. :)
Turns out there was good beer and pizza there, even if the grains were not. ;)

Lemme know what we can do to exchange cash for grains and when in a way that will be easy for you and not make you have to wait around for me. Thanks!

The grain is here. I should be at the brewery every day next week. Friday I will be leaving between 11 and 12 to get to Indy in time for the State Fair judging. We will be brewing Tuesday and Thursday so we should be there until 3:00. Usually finish around 2:00 on Monday and Wednesday. If we stay for QC, add at least an hour. I can also meet you some evening if that works better for you.
