TRADE?

Post by Jam095 » Fri Sep 21, 2012 5:08 pm

Anyone interested in trading a 5 gal. ball lock keg for a 100 lb. propane bottle?

What's the manufacture date on the bottle?

Not sure if im looking at the correct numbers, but it looks like it was certified in 2000. So its most likely due for recert. Any idea what that costs?

John,

If it's like a Worthington bought locally, it just went out of date. If it really looks good and the valve has not be open, it will probably pass re certification up at that place on St. Joe for $15, I think..... Is it clean w/o rust under the bottom ring? Does it have a fill vent valve on the side of the main valve (like a little 1/8" valve)?

I know this is a bunch of questions, but if I get a 100# tank that doesn't pass Certification, it then cost to get rid of it. Maybe a digital picture of the tank would help.

Btw, I've got lot's of Ball Lock Kegs, so I'm not just causing you a bunch of aggravation.

Sorry i havent replied sooner. I got a pretty descent deal on a couple of kegs on ebay, so ive not been in a hurry. I have two tanks, one of them still has a few years before its due for recert., and the other is due, but is in good condition. I will get back with ya when i get it taken care of. Doesnt sound like you need it right away, but if you need it soon just let me know.
