FermCap

Post by Blancaster » Thu Jan 08, 2015 9:41 pm

Does anyone know if any of the local brew shops sell FermCap?
I want to use it in yeast starters.

CYO had Five Star defoamer which is similar to Fermcap. Am using it to control starters so they don't make a mess on the stove and while on striplate
Going to make larger starter and save part of it instead of washing it after.

I would really be careful heating the flask directly on the stove. They are Pyrex but I have seen them break from the heat
