Zoo Brew: Sat. June 19, 6-9 p.m., Evansville Zoo

Post by Chris Norrick » Fri May 07, 2010 1:44 pm

The zoo is asking for what beer we'll be bringing to publish in their event booklet. Please post it here as soon as you can. I'm not sure what the cut off date is, but I'll ask.

Planning details can also be posted here.

I have plenty I can contribute, but I don't want to cut anyone out. I can bring root beer, blonde ale, & a scottish 60 shilling. I have others if there is room.
You gonna buy one, or be one?
.....I'm gonna be one!

We should have our new DIGITAL Flat Screen display ready to provide for the beer listings at the event. We will plan on taking the cart and limiting ourselves to 12 beers at one time [plus bottles].
More details to follow.
I will need to know if Jack/Turoni's will participate separately?
Who can help with manning and or setup.
Setup can start at 4PM - not sure if we will need to help with the Zoo people for other things like at SWIRCA? I will update and find out about that.
So far beers:
1. Root Beer - John Mills
2. Blonde Ale - John Mills
3. Edwin Sandys Bitter - Michael Ewrin
4. Watermellon Wheat - Dwayne Delaney
5. Dead Irishman Ale - Jeff Smith
6. Hefeweizen - John Dippel
7. Scottish ale - John Dippel :beer3
8. OVHA Barrel Aged Old Ale
9.
10.
11.
12.
13.
John Dippel - Is your beer in bottles?

I plan to be there so I can come early to help set up. I also have a Robust Porter that will be ready but it is bottles so that still leaves the taps open.
If your beer doesn't come out exactly right, call a brew-over!

I will be there early and help set up. I have my servers permit (still).

I haven't posted the beers I can bring because were celebrating my wifes 50th and sons 21st birthdays the Saturday before.
I have 10 partial kegs and not sure what will get emptied.
I know I will have enough:
Winter Warmer
Bourbon Barrel Ole Ale (My home brew, if we need it)
Bavarian HefeWeizen
Oatmeal Stout
Oktoberfest
Let me know what you want.

I still have 1 keg of the clubs Ole Ale we need to start serving (so I can keg my keg back) This is some of our Ole ale that did not make it into the bourbon barrel.

John,
For local beer types I think the Blonde would be best [perhaps we can hold the stout in reserve?]
Thanks
