I bought some pinlock kegs, without pressure release valves. Can anyone tell me how to purge the oxygen when kegging?
Thanks,
Sam

Without a relief valve you'll have to pressurize the keg, unhook your co2 line from the keg, and then manually depress the poppet in the middle of the "gas in" post to bleed the pressure off. Do this a couple of times and you're good.
Just make sure your depressing the "gas in" poppet and not the other...unless you like taking beer showers.

I saw the lids and considered them but would like to avoid the expense if possible. Doing it as John suggests sounds just about as easy as the relief valve.
