Donor Gain Mill

Post by msjulian » Fri Dec 04, 2009 4:58 pm

The boys at Eight One Deuce Brewery were kind enough to offer me the use of an abandon grain mill that sitting on their work bench. I hope they don't mind but we had to turbo charge it....

We wanted to drive both rollers as we felt that if the grain husks would not be shredded up as bad. We felt that if the rollers spun together at the same speed the grain would be more uniformly crushed and it would minimize the damage to the husks. Giving her a trial run next Sunday. Going to try my hand at a Kolsch..

That mill definitely found a good home. Great job on that.
