Fermenter Chiller [PELTIER DIODE]
Posted: Fri Jun 26, 2009 3:10 pm
To all those who are or may be interested in us building a batch of these just let me know on this post. Basically, the unit is good for about 25 degrees F temperature differential when chilling and much more when heating [yes it can be used in winter as a temperature controlled heater].
A computer power supply [with about 20-25Amps @ 12Volts DC is needed] and an old tower case to hold it, the thermostat and power relay.
Peltier unit 50Watt about 35$
Thermostat MK138 Velleman [Belgium] about $9
Relay about 7$ + socket 4$
This thermostat could also be used for a standard refrigerator/freezer modification
Any other questions - just holler
"Twenty-four hours in a day, twenty-four beers in a case; coincidence?
