Official OVHA Bar renovation thread.

To get us started I modified a pic with some OVHA Orange color and graphics. These are by no means the final look or design of the finished bar. Just something to get us thinking.

This is before and after.

Nice job with the redeux. I vote for the boobs. What guy wouldn't want his picture taken leaning on that thing.

Maybe a little more kid friendly version could have pasties, or some small bikini.

I think we need to include the best four letter word in the world...BEER....so that even the most alcohol riddled brain can home in on the cart. We wouldn't want it to be confused as an ice cream cart.

The boob edition is great, but Judi wouldn't let the Hooter girls wear shorts at the festival last year.

Also, what can you do about the ugly mug behind the bar.

And probably "FREE BEER" at that. I'll see what I can do. I'll be on vacation next week, but after that I'll work on it a little more. I'm sure we can come up with some original art for the front. Usually we have a long line in front so you won't see much of it, but it will be cool to have anyway. Maybe even a few interchangeable panels could be made.

How are we going to display what beers we have on tap so people can order? If needed or wanted I have more than a quart of chalkboard paint from my kegerator conversion left over that I'll gladly donate if we want to use it.

FREE...The second best 4 letter word. Amazing... Combine the two best 4 letter words together....FREE...BEER... brings a tear to my eye. Dreams do come true!!!

I like the idea of interchangable panels. We can have BOOBS...and Flaming Skulls....and Motorcycles....and....and....Free Beer.

That is something that needs figuring out. We've got a dry erase board that we've used the last couple of fests. There is some space around the bottom of the canopy that is used for a velcro skirt. That would be a good spot I think. Nice and high so people can see it. You can buy the dry erase material from Lowes I think.

If not they do sell the paint and you could use a decent piece of plywood and some trimming.

Wow - Just flew in from Houston - thought it would be better here - it is but; not much! Anyway, as I had indicated at our last meeting, I would be willing to take on the mechanical modifications based upon some overall agreement as to what we want to do in the way of taps/cooler/drains etc. I could also help with the canopy if again there is some overall agremment on what is to be done. I have just enough room in my garage to modify the beast. Those loose boobs might be a problem though.
I sent an EMAIL to Dan Listermann and while he did not know of any avaialable 6 pass cold plates he suggested someone in Wilder KY named "Rapids" - I'll take a look.
Let me know!
