I am in need of .25 lb of the Pale Chocolate Malt made by Bestons. Let me know if you have any and would be willing to part with some.

I'm going to brew Jamil's American Amber: http://www.beerdujour.com/Recipes/Jamil ... RedAle.htm

Thanks,

What makes Beeston's Pale Chocolate Malt unique?

All I know it is not as dark as regular chocolate. Jamail suggests that you need a very subtle chocolate note to make this recipe outstanding. It seems 1/4 lb of the pale is ideal or you can substitute of 1/8 lb of the regular. Looks like B3 is the only ones carrying the pale version in 1 lb chunks so if no one has any here to sell I'll just get the regular from my usual supplier, midwest supplies.

I have a couple of pounds of some chocolate wheat malt that might provide the mellow chocolate note that you are looking for. Just an idea.......
