I put a new page up on Brew365 that shows the larger hop suppliers/homebrew shops and what hops they have available.
Hopefully you can use this to find what you need a little easier.

Hey "C" Fans: FresHops has 2006 & 2007 Cascade leaf that were just added today. Get 'em while you can.
$6.25/oz for Saaz, $5.50/oz for Summit, $5.50/oz for Sterling, $5.99 for Centennial, $5.50 for Amarillo.
Yea, I saw that - I guess that supply and demand they talked about in Economics class really works. <sigh>

I would have thought with the hop shortages of Europe and North America, there would be hop growers from other corners of the world coming forward. Has anyone been able to find any advertised hops from South America, Australia, Japan, etc? or do you think it might be too early in the growing season for the lower hemisphere?

I heard a small brewery in the Midwest bought the entire supply of Argentenian Cascade this year... could be a rumor.
The 2007 Cascades are already gone from Freshops. If you want any, I would say get them ASAP (2006 still available.)
Not sure about the hops from those other regions ... Soriachi Ace is available somewhere if I remember.

This is messed up! I thought I panicked and bought too many hops. I'm already half out and now things are getting tight.

I ordered from Freshhop on the 9th and got some '07 Cascade without a problem, but then again looking at the prices everything has gone up. Freshhop also has Sorachi Ace, i ordered some to give it a shot. Anyone have any experience with it?
I'm kind of rolling around an idea for a citrus hopped IPA. I've got Summit, Cascade, Amarillo and Sorachi Ace for it, just trying to decide if thats "to much."

Hops Direct is now out of hops. This is their posting:
January 15, 2008
After taking time to review numbers & count inventory, it looks like the 2007 crop sales are done.
We had hundreds of orders, as well as emails, over the holiday break and apologize for the delay to some of you, we are just not staffed this time of year for such high volumes.
Now we are looking ahead, working on equipment for our growing season this spring. The farm has a hop combine that's been in the development stages for the last 2 years and we anticipate full use this summer...watch for photos.
Additionally, we are implementing some changes in varieties we will be growing and hope for good weather!
We certainly hope in August you venture back here and see what is going on and which domestic leaf varieties are available. Keep in mind, normal hop havesting begins here in the states about the 20th of August.
Thank you for the orders but also for the great group of people we get to work with in the homebrewing world. Your hobby is appreciated.
Sincerely,
HOPS Direct, LLC
I don't know if it is a misprint, but More Beer had 4 OZ whole Cascade for $4.20. Did not see restrictions on quantity either. I put my order in here.

I tried to order over quantities with Williams since I put in a big order with them. Got my fingers crossed.

I've seen the hop listings on Ebay. Final prices are $15.50 - $23.00 before the $4.60 shipping. Not too bad considering the shortages.
I got a call from More Beer last night indicating that they were out of the whole Cascade's until Tuesday, but would hold my order and ship when the hops came in. They do have a limit on hops....4 packages of any 1 variety. They have the whole Cascades in 4oz packages for $4.20/package= $16.80/lb. More Beer said they believe with the 4 package limitations that they should be able to keep suppplying until the next crop comes in. So keep checking back with them periodically as they may have hops out one day, then instock later.

Humm... well, I've been ordering a couple pounds of hops from Williams about every three weeks or so. Ordered some cascades and columbus yesterday and got this response:
Dear Valued Customer:
Please resubmit your order for hops, keeping in mind we have a temporary limit of 50% of your total order value in hops. This is due to the current hop shortage, and the desire to supply our regular customers with a wide range of ingredients throughout the year.
Thanks for your understanding
