I MADE A COMPARISON OF THE PILSNER MALTS FOR MYSELF BELOW. THOUGHT I WOULD POST IT TO THE FORUM IN CASE IT HELPED ANYBODY ELSE
RAHR PREM PILSNER .738/LB made from premium North American 2-row barley
RAHR OLD WORLD PILSNER .728/LB malt is giving up some extract but delivers greater flavor, yeast nutrients, and some beer foam stability
RAHR NORTH STAR PILS .748/LB North Star Pils™ is a bit lower in both color and modification; in terms of sensory, North Star Pils™ has more “sweet” attributes vs. the more grainy & cracker attributes found in Rahr Premium Pils.
CRIPS EUROPILS .962/LB Europils malt has a higher protein content which ensures ample enzymatic capability which, combined with the high levels of free amino nitrogen present, assure excellent brewing performance
DINGEMANS ORGANIC PILSEN 1.314/LB made from the finest European two-row summer barley. Light in color and low in protein, this malt is well modified
