OVHA barrel brew 2019

Post by aroyer2 » Sun Mar 10, 2019 9:15 pm

The barrel brew will be held April 6th starting at 8am at Evansville brewhouse.

Josh Pietrowski is excited to host our club as he takes over the brewery on April 1st.

We will be using the Don Heisler old ale recipe and Josh Wuertz was able to get a makers mark cask strength barrel for aging.

Please use this thread to sign up to join. Please include preferred volume 5 or 10 gallon, and also if you will be doing biab.

Update: I ordered enough grain to make 70 gallons. This means we have room for a few more brewers. Dutch volunteered to make lunch for all brewers.

Thanks -Aaron

5 gallon, mash tun preferred.

Can do up to 10 gallon BIAB, if for some reason we are short on brewers.

I’m in for 5 gal and can do either mash tun or BIAB. I can also do 10 gal if needed.

I can do 5 gallons. I’ll be brewing BIAB as usual, but no special considerations need to be made for me. I’ll have my grain hoist there for anyone who’d like to use it

Count me in I will be using a mash tun 5 gallons but if needed I should be able to do 10 gallons with that grain bill if you are short brewers.

Thanks,
