15 -20 years if you can grind, mash, ferment, bottle and age at cellar temps.

This says 6 months for base and longer for roasted. They are in the business of selling grain so take it for what it's worth. I heard a maltster say on a podcast a year should be fine if moisture is kept away from it but he would taste the grain before using it.

Hmm...I have some grain that I have had for more than a year (~ 16 months ).It still smells great, fills the room with a pleasant, fresh, cereal aroma when I open the bin.Tastes great, too.I was skepticle,at first, but I had to
brew or go nuts and I had zero funds for new grain. Also,it was just too much grain to just toss out.My beer turned out very well;malt aroma, foam production and foam stability exellant.A very enjoyable beer. However,I'm covinced that it may not hold up much longer, but until then...
PS Conversion was also on track and my mash efficiency went up from my previous batch.
