1st Annual Indiana Homebrew Club Day

Post by Dwayne_Delaney » Sun May 06, 2007 8:41 pm

There was some discussion at Big Brew about this program. It sounds like a good time. Now all we need is a Designated Driver...........

Fellow Indiana Homebrewers,

I want to announce and invite you and all your club

If the Jasper softball team makes it to the state finals I will be in Indy covering the game. Hopefully I'll be able to get away to stop by :D
For everyone I haven't met, I used to live in Evansville and was a member of OVHA. After moving home to Jasper, and missing having good friends to brew with, I decided to try to start my own club. I am happy to say that I have been the president of the Dubois County Suds Club since 2006 (although I still miss my OVHA buddies)!

Still room for 5 more. Sounds like a great time.

Also, I take the position of Designated Driver seriously, so no need to worry about your pilot......

Hey Dwayne, are we going to meet up somewhere or are you going to Enterprise it? I'm sort of on the way north... not to far from 41.

The autopilot better not run out of air, I'm not going to blow it back up.

John D brought his Brewers Cup entries to me at Turoni's. I need to get them to you to take to Indy. I am going to St Louis on Saturday morning so I need to get the beer to you tomorrow or Friday.

Chris and Peter(or anyone else), I can pick you up on my way North.
It starts at 1pm our time and should take about 3 and a half hours to get there. I figure we should leave town sometime around 9:30.

Dwayne:

Cool -- turn left at Azteca on Baseline, I'm on the second corner, stop on the side by the mailbox (and watch out of the hole where the "real" one is supposed to be).

Latest from the FoamBlowers. Too bad Randy Mosher won't be there; but I will!
Last Chance Guys; contact me here tonight if you want to go. I'll be checking posts till bedtime.

Fellow Indiana Homebrewers,
(Note: Please forward this to all the members of your club as soon as you can)

The big day is almost here! We hope to see as many of you as possible tomorrow. I have heard from many of you, so it looks like it is going to be a great turnout. We should have great weather, but it will go on rain or shine (we have a big tarp that will be covering the whole area).

Great Time

Post by Chris Norrick » Sat Jun 09, 2007 10:29 pm

Well, you guys missed a great time. The beer was flowing, the meat was smoked, and the weather was perfect. We had several comments on how we where the club that drove the farthest. And lots of comments on the orange shirts. Lots of door prizes were given out and 3 out of 4 of us got something. Including a brand new sparkling 5 gallon keg! Yes, I won that! Here are some pics of the event:

Another pic of the stainless steel 42 Gal. cylindroconical fermenter.
