Getting ready to start some mead and it looks to me like the basic recipe is 3- 3.5# honey to one gallon of water?
I have should have access to about a wheelbarrow of pears which look really good. Not sure exactly when I will try and get these. Later this week most likely.
I may have some pears left - let me know if anyone wants any in case there are some left?

Re: Basic Mead
Here is a link for the easiest mead to make. It finishes sweet the way you like it.

I've done variations where I've changed the fruit. My favorite is using limes. Comes out tasting margarita flavored. I also liked the pink grapefruit variety too.

You gonna buy one, or be one?
