Zoo Brew June 8, 2013

Post by Don » Sun Apr 14, 2013 9:55 am

Mesker Park Zoo & Botanical Gardens is having their 4th annual fundraiser, Zoo Brew, Saturday June 8, 2013 7pm-10pm.
OVHA has supported this event every year, by serving samples of our homemade craft beers to the public.
We need your help again this year, we need volunteers that have beer they want to donate, volunteers for serving (you need to have your volunteer servers permit or full bartenders license), volunteers to set up, tear down, talking/educating public on homebrewing.
If your interested please post beer and/or what you can help with.
Deadline to get your beer listed in their guide, on the OVHA page, is May 5. They will also print name badges.

Remember only payed members that are working get in without a ticket. If your not working we ask you to buy a ticket, it's for a good cause and remember to get them early, they do sell out every year.

John Mills and Sky Buttrum are running this event for the club.

I will have a Belgian blonde (big brew). And I'll be present from start until the hippos come home. Or something like that.

As I mentioned, I'll be there start to finish, help at Turoni's, etc. I'll have two beers. One would be a Belgian Blonde. The other is TDB, probably some Scottish something or other. I also have my server's license.

There will be a sign up sheet for this event at the April meeting which is at PAR. We will need your first and last name so the zoo can get you a name tag along with what beer you are bringing to go into the Zoo Brew Guide. Also on the sheet will be a place to sign up to work set up, serve, and tear down. As a reminder you must have paid your OVHA membership dues for 2013 in order to get into this event! After the meeting I will go through here and check to make sure anyone not at the meeting who posted on this board gets their name on the list before it is sent in!
