Can cider be put up in clear bottles or does it suffer the same fate as beer?

Light hitting hops in beer is what causes the skunkiness. Beer can still be put in clear bottles, but more caution needs to be taken to prevent the light struck phenom. Cider, not normally having hops should be ok, but not sure about long term sitting in sun.

Thanks John! Wasn't sure if it was hops. I've got about a dozen clear from a neighbor. Looks like cider will go in!
