Playing around with AutoCad 3D and laid out what I think I want to start putting together.

Oh the memories... http://www.ovha.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=220

EDIT: Bummer, looks like most of the photos were on our old photo album setup and are now lost.

Got the steel yesterday and got it all cut today. Now it's time to work on my welding skills

Fired the welder up and started piecing things together. One of the best things about this project is that I get to work on it with my Dad who started brewing over 20 years ago.

Next up.. adding the casters, burners, a little plumbing and some electrical.

On a side note if any one is looking for a brew stand I have my old two tier stand that I will no longer be needing. PM me and we can work out the details.

I am particularly interested in the plumping, and electrical, is it going to be LP or NG?

LP. I want it to be portable for club brews. My plan is to have a 40 LP tank sit under the HLT. The gas will be hard plumbed with a single regulator on the tank and needle valves to control the flame. Kinda like this pic...

Sweet, I am about to start on my Wallace weldless brewstand and Im not very comfortable with plumbing, I know they will cut and thread the pipe at lowes or homedepot but the valves and such im not too sure on. I was just kinda assuming when I got to that point I would figure it out.

Got the casters, burners (thanks again to Don H. for the loner burner), pump and control box mounted today. Also started working on the cook top for both burners. I made the top out of 14 gauge aluminum to see how I like it. If I decide to keep it I will replace it with 18 gauge stainless.

Now it's on to the gas and hard wiring the pump to the control box.

On a side note.. I will be dropping off my other two tier stand at Kenny P's tomorrow so hopefully we will get him away from that brew in a bag thing that is going around...

I think I'll just put an arm and pulley on the top tier to raise my bag!

Michael and Sky, keep the photos coming. I really enjoy tracking your progress. I wish I had your talents. Instead, here's my new portable brewing option for group brews and such. I just need to figure out how to install a pump.
