Question

Post by ArtCox » Tue Nov 08, 2011 5:49 pm

I brewed the Fat Bastard on Sunday. If fermented for about 8 hours then just quit. No Krausen on top, that fell to the bottom. What now? Any Suggestions?

No, I didn't think to. It can't be done. Not in just 8 hours. I'll just let it set and wait. It's a dark beer so I'll probably not rack to secondary.

Some more questions for diagnosis:
Are you fermenting in a bucket? If so there possibly could be a seal issue.
Did you use Fermcap S in the fermenter? Maybe fermentation has subsided enough that it isn't creating the high krausen anymore, and the Fermcap S is doing it's job.
Do you have any airlock activity.
Was there a change in temperature?
You gonna buy one, or be one?
.....I'm gonna be one!
