OVHA Picnic 2011!
Saturday, September 10, 2011 starting 2-3 pm till ???? There is no electricity at the site, so bring a lantern/flashlight if you plan to stay after dark.

OVHA will have a picnic for members and their families, at our gracious host's family lake (Chuck Brown). I don't have an exact address but it approx 11000 St. Wendel Rd. Evansville, In. Watch for OVHA sign on St. Wendel Rd.
Basic directions from Evansville: take Diamond Ave (hwy 66) west to Big Cynthiana (hwy 65) north. Turn left onto St Wendel Rd at flashing light on curve.

This is a very nice picnic area with shelter. We can use the lake for fishing (artificial lures, or worms only. No minnows), swimming, canoeing, lay out at the beach, etc.
OVHA will supply the meat (hamburgers and brats usually). There is no charge to attend this event.
Please bring your own chairs, beverages of choice, and a side dish (w/serving utensils) to share.

Please post how many will be in your party(so we have enough meat for everyone), and what you will bring so that we don't end up with 14 jello molds.

I have a "All Year, High School Reunion" that day starting at 5:30pm. Elizabeth and I won't be able to attend the Picnic.

I will be there, bringing a desert. Probably only me.

I have a wedding that day, sorry I'll miss it.

My wife and I will attend. We will bring a side dish, probably cheesy potatoes.

Steph and I will be there. Cheese Tortellini Pasta Salad.

I'd love to be there but have a wedding to go to. Making beer for the wedding!

I will be there. Not sure what I'll bring. Will we need a jockey box? I brought one last year, but we didn't use it.

Me + 4. I'll bring baked beans, or taco salad.

It looks like my trip from back East will not get me back in time from the Pennsylvania Amish country. BUMMER

Me, plus two others. Will bring veggie or fruit, and a dessert.

Lafe and his wife plus to children will be there, I hope. Don't know what they are brining, he'll probably post when he figures out how to register and post a reply.

I count 15-16 coming. I'll get the hamburgers & brats, buns, plates, utensils, cups, mustard, ketchup, pickles & onions. I got some chicken breasts last year. They were a hit so I'll get some this year too. Should I get any soft drinks and water?
