I camped out on I70 coming home from Indy's Brew Festival

The festival was good. Even though we had a place to stay in Indy with John's freinds, Corey & I decided to come on home. Big mistake. A fire on a bridge east of Terre Haute shut down I70. We could have exited at Brazil, but we didn't know of the problem until a few miles after the opportunity. It took us over 4 1/2 hours to get to the Riley exit. We tried driving on the shoulder to get to our exit, but several truckers just pulled over and shut down for the night blocking that escape route. Some cars were able to off road it and head back east, but we were in the right lane. This article says fire started around 6:00pm, we didn't pass the Brazil exit until after 8pm. Why weren't police getting traffic off of I70 east of the shut down. We did have some beer left over. We thought about retapping the kegs. Finally made it home a little after 3:00am.
