I just did a flight of the classics at Deschutes Brewery. Fantastic! I needed to regroup so I'm heading back out here in a bit to hit Rogue and possible sample some of the Deschutes seasonals.

I also went to Whole Foods and got a bottle of Russian River Consecration and Lagunitas seasonal red.

Pliny was my target when I went in there because I saw that Russian River distributes to Whole Foods in Portland. Unfortunately I found on a forum that it only last a day or two when they get it in. I settled for the Consecration. I'll try again tomorrow. I'll buy as much as I can. I have an empty bag to check for my return trip that I hope will be full of Russian River and Deschutes (with some other locals). Whole Foods is on the way to Rogue and Deschutes. This is an excellent beer town. :beer2

I ran into a guy who works for Rogue and he talked me into trying Charlie 1981. It is apparently a Charlie Papazian recipe that they have scaled up. American old ale. Worth drinking if you get the chance.

If you are not at the winetree you need to get there before 4, if not too late already.

Vulcan Pilsner on top of mountain in Oia on Island of Santorini, Greece. Advertised as a pilsner but with local honey and herbs - downright yummy.

Very cool Dutch. Went there a couple of years ago and loved it. Hope to go again.
